Marvin Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Marvin ("we," "us") makes an autonomous AI marketing agent for B2B SaaS and AI agent companies. This policy explains what we collect when you visit gomarvin.run, sign up for early access, or use Marvin while signed in — why we collect it, and how you can control it.
We're pre-launch and keep this simple on purpose. If something here is unclear, email us — see below.
What we collect
Email address. When you join our early-access list, we collect the email address you provide.
Product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site and the app are used. It records the pages you view, the elements you interact with (that you clicked something — never the values you type into form fields), uncaught browser errors, how you got here (referring site and UTM parameters), and your device and browser, including approximate location from your IP address. To recognise repeat visits, it stores a first-party cookie and localStorage entry holding a random id. Requests go through our own domain (gomarvin.run/ingest) to PostHog's US cloud.
If you're signed in, we also tell PostHog who you are — your account id from our authentication provider (Clerk) and your display name — and record named product events, such as a chat message sent or a task completed. These carry ids and metadata, not content: the text of your chats, tasks, and generated documents is never sent to PostHog. Nor is your early-access email address, which goes only to Loops.
We don't collect payment information at this stage (Marvin is free during early access).
Why we collect it
- To send you product updates and early-access communications — things like launch news, feature updates, and invitations to try Marvin.
- To improve gomarvin.run and Marvin itself — analytics tell us which pages and features people actually use, and error data tells us what's broken.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of third-party services ("processors") that handle data on our behalf, under contract, for the purposes described above:
- PostHog — product analytics: the usage, error, and account data described above. Hosted in the United States (PostHog's US cloud).
- Loops — our early-access email list and the marketing email we send. Hosted in the United States.
- Resend — transactional email, including the internal alert we get when a signup can't reach Loops. Hosted in the United States.
If you're in the EU/UK, note that this means your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link — click it and you'll stop hearing from us. No hoops, no login required.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what data we have on you — your email signup, your analytics record, or both.
- Ask us to delete your data at any time, including your PostHog analytics record.
- Unsubscribe from any email, instantly, via the link in the message.
- Block analytics in your browser by blocking requests to
gomarvin.run/ingest. Because we serve analytics from our own domain, some tracker-blocking extensions won't catch it automatically, and we don't currently honour the "Do Not Track" browser setting. We don't yet offer an in-product opt-out toggle — email us and we'll delete what we have.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at marvin@gomarvin.run. We'll respond and act on verified requests within 30 days.
If you're in the EU/UK, you also have rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, and objection to processing) — the same contact method above covers these.
How long we keep data
We keep your email address for as long as you're subscribed, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
Analytics events are retained by PostHog under our plan's standard retention period. We'll delete your analytics record on request, at the address above.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we collect or use data, we'll update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above. We won't bury changes in fine print.
